wow what a place from the moment we arrived was welcomed by the owner then shown around each swim with all the spots which had produced previously the on site facilities are of an exceptionally high standard it's almost like being at home. whenever you need help mike is always there to lend you any advice you require my advice to all that plan to visit listen to the owner Mike as he knows the lake and we enjoyed our stay so much we have re-booked already for 2 more visits thank you to mike & Amanda for a lovely stay all the best

Great fishery, great set up! Mike and Amanda are really friendly and the food package is outstanding...first time I've been to France and put weight on. I'd recommend anyone to give this lake a try, you won't find much better value in France !

Best fishing holiday I've been on! Food was great, the fishing was great and Mike is an absolute gentleman! And not forgetting my little mate Ruby. I'd recommend this holiday 100%. I'll be back in the summer for the 50.

Have now visited Lac la Chaussee twice.. What a fishery it is. The lake and grounds are stunning and fully mature with lots of wildlife too. The lake is pristine and full of carp consisting of mirrors, fully scaled, commons, linears, kois and leathers so all the variations of carp that you can think off.
The lake has top class facilities too. There are 2 x huge toilet / shower rooms and also a separate large day room which over looks the lawn and pegs 1 and 2. This has a big table with 6 chairs a big chest bait freezer, small bait freezer and 2 fridges also a microwave, electric kettle and double sink washing up area with hot and cold water. If you choose the meal package this is where you can eat your evening meal and also breakfast.
Mike is a cracking host and will endeavour to help make your week's fishing one of the best you will ever experience..
All I can say is get it booked and find out what you have been missing out on 😉.. If carlsberg did carp fisheries....

Wow just got back from Lac La Chaussee and what a beautiful lake, Mike was an absolute star and was always on hand to offer advice and help in anyway he can, he was always accompanied by his sidekick Ruby who was also always available for a stroke a cuddle and a bit of stick throwing, unfortunately the weather was against us and the fish were finishing off their spawning but we still managed between the 5 of us to bank 28 fish to 47lb, each and every fish put up a great scrap and were in stunning condition, highly recommended and we will be going back,

Had the pleasure of fishing Lac La Chaussee, well what a week i did not want to come home best week in France ever, lake is stunning, fish are stunning , the facilities are spot on, grub weren't bad but the cheesecake is banging, and the biggest plus is the fishery owner Mike Dagnall without him it would be just another lake in France, he can't do enough for you, so mike you have NAILED IT

6 of us booked lake exclusive 29/06-06/07
Upon arriving at the lake we were all impressed with not only the beauty of the lake but the facilities on site. The Saturday we arrived it was very hot. Despite this we all caught fish that night. Ongoing we were all catching consistently (feeding times varied from swim to swim) the fish did move frequently into parts of the lake with no angling pressure. So be prepared to move it does pay off. I would strongly recommend listening to Mike as he won’t steer you wrong and will try to help you put fish on the bank. We took our own bait but didn’t really use it and ended up taking most of it home. I would advise getting the bait from Mike. The spod mix was spot on and the fish did respond to it along with the pellet. We also had the food package, the meals were excellent and I can’t recommend enough (especially the Shepard’s pie). The showers and toilets are some of the best I’ve come across in many trips to France.
All in all if you are looking for a fishing trip to France Lac La Chaussee ticks all the box’s.

Lac la Chaussee is a stunning water in beautiful rural surroundings. It’s professionally run by a very helpful and friendly husband and wife team.
It reminds me of an old English estate lake, but with much bigger fish. I had twenty fish including six thirties and I didn’t fish hard.
Peace, solitude, beautiful scenery, wildlife and hard fighting Carp. What more could you want?

Very good venue, Mike a gentleman and on hand no matter the issue or time, lake fished very well. Showers good, food good, lake produced 50+ fish even with changing weather. Will be returning next year again

There’s a good head of big fish to be caught and are not to tricky if you listen to Mike’s advice.
